2007 National Show in Wisconsin


2007 Shropshire Spectacular Sale Results

The 2007 Spectacular was held June 22 & 23 in Springfield, IL. There were 90 head of sheep offered for sale Saturday morning with the show average of $330.83. The show was judged by Roger Snyder of IL.

The top seller was the Grand Champion Ewe, a Senior Champion (yearling) consigned by Brockmann Shropshires. She was purchased by Bishop & Bishop Shrops of Gouverneur, NY for $1600.

The Grand Champion Ram was the Junior Champion (Late Spring) lamb consigned by Rife Shropshires. He was sold to Jane Switzer of Redkey, IN for $850.

The Res. Grand Champion Ram (Senior Champion) was consigned by Buckham Farms and sold to Smith Sisters Shropshires of Russell, MN for $850.

The Res. Grand Champion Ewe was the Res. Senior Champion (Fall Lamb) consigned by Rueber Shrops and sold to Robert and Karen Johnson for $700.
